Maria Elena Bello

 Maria Elena Bello, born April 18, 1967 is an American actress and producer as well as writer. Her film roles include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013), and Lights Out (2016). Bello was a television star as the character Dr. Anna Del Amico, the medical drama that ran from 1997 until 1998. Bello also played Michelle McBride on Goliath's first season in 2016, and also as Special Agent Jacqueline Sloane on NCIS in which she was as the main agent. Bello was born on April 18, 1967 in Norristown in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Kathy, a school nurse and teacher and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She was raised in a middle-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. In the seventh grade at Villanova University, she majored in political science. After graduating, Bello honed her acting abilities in several New York theater productions. Bello along with Dan McDermott is the proud mother of Jackson. Bello revealed in November of 2013 that she was having an same-sex relationship with Clare Munn, her former partner. She published a book, Whatever...Love Is Love: Questioning the Labels We Give Ourselves (Dey Street Books on April 28, 2015)
